These two photos show another possible kind of background replacement. The car is a classic from the 1930’s. The background is contemporary outdoor car show. The combination of the two is a boring photo, a typical car show snapshot.

However, if we add a background that looks more suitable to the car and its era, now we’ve got something. The background, an alley in Canton, was converted to B&W, and then toned. I then added a little Gaussian Blur to the background photo create a little separation in the combined image. I think the combined image is certainly preferable to the original.
