Try Something New in 2009

One of the things that keeps me interested in photography is that there is always something new to try. I can never get bored with it. One new technique that I discovered a few years back is the “Orton effect”. It has been used with great success by other artists (Andre’ Gallant was the first one I saw using it), but photographer Michael Orton is usually credited with originating this technique. I’ve posted several photos on My Viewfinder using this technique, so I thought I’d share this link in hopes that some of you will give it a try. This will work with Photoshop or Elements, as well as any other program that allows you to work with layers. Click this link, and give it a try with one of your photos.

I’m working on two large portrait orders, so I don’t have time to do any personal work right now. I’ll be back to posting my photos again as soon as I get caught up.
