Cameras have the ability to take us back in time, to refresh memories of time and events gone by. They can even transport us back to times before we were born.
I obtained some old photos from my mother that I wanted to copy and clean up. This is a photo of my Dad around the time he joined the Navy in 1942. It appears to be a B&W that was “colorized”. Click on the photo to enlarge it, and you can see that this photo was given by my Dad to his Mom. I did some cleaning up of some spots and faint stains, but this one didn’t need any difficult restoration work. Now I have my own copy of a treasured portrait of my Dad.
